A Legacy Born In The Eternal City

Since from the beginning, the story of Caffè Camerino has been inseparable from the cobblestone streets and vibrant piazzas of Rome, Italy. In a city where coffee is not just a drink but a daily ritual, our founder sought to capture the essence of the perfect Roman "pausa" (break). This led to the creation of a roasting tradition that prioritizes the bold, sophisticated flavors demanded by Rome's most discerning coffee bars.

Besides the Roman coffee roasting companies there are certainly brands boasting a more ancient origin, but we can say that CAFFÈ CAMERINO, with its 70-year history, has undoubtedly marked a turning point to the category towards modern times.

CAFFÈ CAMERINO was born in the early 30’s and focus its activity in production of roasted coffee blends for espresso bars, restaurants and for drugstores and retail shops selling it bulk.

Unfortunately, with the beginning of World WAR II coffee import in Italy has a stop.

At the new start the Company faces immediately the problem of packaging, concerning whole beans, and ground coffee for retail, keeping in mind a better conservation of the products.

In 1961, first in Rome and among the firsts in Italy, CAFFÈ CAMERINO starts packing ground coffee under vacuum in 100 grams sachets and simultaneously creates the brand “the Coffee with three Fs", supported by a massive radio, television and road advertising campaign.

Immediately after particularly successful is production of ground coffee vacuum in a 250 grams tin, the latter also sold with the famous doser for the Italian coffee maker.

The remarkable success of the brand, along with the undisputed quality of the product, has significantly increased its sales, so to make it necessary to build a new electronic fully automatic roasting plant.

In 1968 CAFFÈ CAMERINO has been rewarded the prize "Ercole d’oro"(Golden Hercules), first in the category and in 1971 the Prize "Qualità Lazio" in the same category. Since then commercial success has increased, both in Rome, Lazio Region and beyond.

In early 2000, the Camerino family considered appropriate the chance that another important Company continue to manage the success of this brand, together with its one dating back its origins far more early and famous as well.

Since its merger with Caffè Morganti, CAFFÈ CAMERINO continued its way increasing presence in foreign markets and HO.RE.CA., particularly in branded coffee shops, where consumers can touch with their hands “the coffee with three Fs” philosophy.
